Each new season brings new opportunities and, as always, AffinEco methodically seeks out fresh prospects and answers the call for its particular set of skills. With its industry-leading practices, continuous service enhancements and adoption of new technologies to increase client savings, the company continues to expand. In this article, we highlight a few of the newest accounts acquired by the United Services division: 101 Seaport in Boston; Nyala Farms in Westport, CT; and 10 Automobile Association of America (AAA) sites across CT.
“We are very pleased about these new accounts in both the expansion and prestige they represent for our business,” said AffinEco Managing Partner Paul Senecal, CBSE. “We have an extremely committed management team and a very ‘deep bench.’ Those factors, along with our proven record for high-quality, cost-effective services, help us attract new clients and continue to support our sustainable growth.”
A 17-story LEED Platinum-certified building with 440,000 square feet of Class A office and retail space in Boston’s Seaport District, 101 Seaport is among AffinEco’s largest and most prestigious clients. United Services won the contract for services at the time of the property opening in October 2015.
According to the building developer, Skanska USA, “101 Seaport offers its occupants a state-of-the-art experience with elevated ceiling heights, virtually column free floor plates and a floor to ceiling glass curtain wall facade. The building also offers a fitness center and an expansive pedestrian retail promenade at the ground floor.” The building overlooks Seaport Square Green and Boston Harbor, and offers immediate access to the Mass Pike and I-93, as well as close proximity to Logan Airport and Boston’s Financial District.
United provides full janitorial services in the common areas of the building on days, nights and weekends. In addition to night cleaners, day porters and matrons, United supplies an attendant for the fitness center and day porter services to building tenant PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). PwC occupies 75% of the building, making 101 Seaport its Boston headquarters.
“This is Affineco’s first account in the Seaport District of Boston, which is considered one of the hottest areas in the New England real estate market. We are very excited to serve such a high profile building with such an important tenant as PwC,” said Nolan Marcario, United vice president and general manager.
United Services won the competitive bid for Westport, CT’s renowned Nyala Farms campus on April 11, 2016 and began providing night cleaning services on May 1st.
Nyala Farms is situated on a 53-acre campus and, according to the property owner, Building and Land Technology, “consists of five buildings of Class A office space in the exclusive Green’s Farm section of Westport, CT. This award-winning property is surrounded by conservation land and an original farmhouse that dates back to the 1900s.” It is conveniently located directly off I-95, two miles from the Greens Farms Metro train station, and 1 mile from the Post Road shopping and restaurants. The buildings, which were originally constructed in 1972-1974, comprise more than 400,000 square feet.
“Nyala Farms adds to United Services’ list of exclusive clients and gives us the lead in the industry,” said Jorge Jimenez, AffinEco vice president. “Our procedures in green cleaning and staying ahead in new technologies allow us to land this type of client. This is a very exciting time for all United employees.”
Multiple AAA Locations
AffinEco is about to greatly expand its services for AAA, having signed on 10 new locations across Connecticut. In May, the company was awarded a contract to serve the AAA sites in Danbury, Hamden (2), Bridgeport, Waterbury, Branford, Fairfield, Milford, Stamford and Norwalk.
With the locations spread out so widely, AffinEco has leveraged team members across different groups within the company to help oversee and run the new accounts. On June 27th, United began providing exterior window washing and night cleaning janitorial services in these retail office spaces that total 66,000 square feet.
“We have grown from three AAA sites to now more than 14 and counting, including one in Massachusetts and three in Rhode Island,” said Samantha DeMagistris, AffinEco director of account services. “Between our strong relationships, cost-effectiveness and quality service, AAA has seen the value we deliver, which is why they have given us more work and will continue to do so.”
