AffinEco Unveils New Program to Track Employee Training

AffinEco is further increasing its commitment to safety with a new software program that tracks employee training.

“We want our people to be safe,” said Michael Diamond, AffinEco President. “We want to make sure we are being as timely as we can and have the right system to back up that we are doing the right thing.”

AffinEco partnered with Auburn Services, a leader in workplace safety and risk management, to develop software that seamlessly collects electronic training data. It enables the company to easily ensure all employees are up to date with federal and state mandated training “The software provides better reports faster,” said Valerie Morris, risk management consultant for Auburn Services, who focuses on Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE). “We can stay on top of the teams and make sure they are receiving training.”

Managers using the new software log into a portal where the latest training data has been uploaded. Once an employee completes their training, their results are loaded into the HR compliance tracker module, which certifies that all employees are in compliance. The software also captures employees’ signatures on- or off-line. This is important because sometimes the employee completes their training module while inside the client’s building—and some of those facilities are secured. With this program, the employee’s signature is uploaded once they are reconnected to the internet. This is just one feature that makes creating safety reports more efficient at any time.

This new software also reinforces AffinEco’s commitment to the environment by automating the process and reducing the reliance on paper. “We are very proud we were able to develop this. It eliminates the manual collection of training,” Morris said. “We are looking for ways to streamline organizations from operational standpoint to make them more productive.”

The software provides immediate access to the latest data of when an employee was trained and how. It means AffinEco is even better prepared. “We want to do the right thing,” said Diamond. “This helps make sure our workers are safe.”
