Jaime Perez has been working at AffinEco for 15 years and continues to impress clients and his supervisors with every new responsibility he takes on.
“Jaime is a very dedicated employee. He takes a lot of pride in his work and he likes to go above and beyond,” said Sandino Cifuentes, AffinEco VP and General Manager. In fact, Cifuentes recruited Perez away from a company where the two men had worked together previously.
“On a personal level, Jaime is more than another coworker. He’s a friend. We work well together and we get along extremely well,” Cifuentes added.
Perez is based in Hartford, CT, and runs Special Services for AffinEco, a growing segment of the company’s business.
“Special Services includes projects like window washing, power washing, shampooing carpets and stripping wax floors,” Perez explained. He is also responsible for all the big equipment (like boom lifts) and crews for these projects.
“I enjoy my co-workers,” Perez said. “They’re very friendly. We have good communication and always do the best we can.”
“He’s very good at leading by example,” Cifuentes said. “He’s good at teaching his crew. They learn a lot from him on how to do floor work, window washing, etc. He takes the time to show and teach his crew to be good at what they do. That’s why we have the type of success we have. That’s why I get emails complimenting the quality and the efficiency of the work.”
In the evenings, Perez is an area manager supervising nearly 20 office buildings, medical spaces and manufacturing facilities.
“Jaime is a perfectionist. He aims to please and the customers notice that and appreciate it,” Cifuentes said.
Perez just bought a home and spends his weekends working on projects there.
“I like painting and cutting the grass,” he said.
He also enjoys his work at AffinEco. “I like what I’m doing. When you love your work, the job is easy.”
